Select the alarm or event from the
alarm/event summary or history and start
the Ladder Monitor.
The communications address set
as an alarm or event will be
searched for automatically.
Use one of the following ways to start the Ladder Monitor.
1. Click a multifunction button set to start the Ladder Monitor.
2. Start the Ladder Monitor from the alarm/event summary or history.

This function can be used if the NS system is version 8.0 or higher and the Ladder Monitor is ver-
sion 3.0 or higher.
With the Ladder Monitor, you can search backwards to find the causes of alarms or events that
have occurred. For information on the Ladder Monitor, refer to the NS-series Ladder Monitor Op-
eration Manual (Cat. No. V082).
Using a Multifunction Button to Start the Ladder Monitor
Setting Procedure
Create a Multifunction Object as a Start LADDER MONITOR Button in the screen where the
alarm/event summary and history are found.

1. Place a Multifunction Object on the same screen where the alarm/event summary and history is
found.
2. Set Switch Screen
Display System Menu Ladder Monitor as the operation for the Multifunc-
tion Object. (For information on Multifunction Objects, refer to 2-11 Multifunction Objects.)
