• Install the Inverter on a vertical surface so that the characters on the nameplate are oriented upward.
• When installing the Inverter , always provide the following installation space to allow normal heat dis -
sipation from the Inverter.

• Install the Inverter under the following conditions.
NEMA1 Type
Ambient temperature for operation: –10 to 40°C
Humidity: 90% RH or less (no condensation)
Open Chassis Type
Ambient temperature for operation: –10 to 45°C
Humidity: 90% RH or less (no condensation)
Note A protection cover is attached to the top and bottom of the Inverter. Be sure to remove the
protection
covers before installing the 200- or 400-V Class Inverter that has an output of 15 kW
or less to a panel.
• Install
the Inverter in a clean location free from oil mist and dust. Alternatively , install it in a totally en -
closed panel that is completely shielded from floating dust.
• When
installing or operating the Inverter , always take special care so that metal powder , oil, water , or
other foreign matter does not get into the Inverter.
• Do not install the Inverter on inflammable material such as wood.
H Ambient Temperature Control
• To enhance operation reliability , the Inverter should be installed in an environment free from extreme
temperature rises.
• If
the Inverter is installed in an enclosed environment such as a box, use a cooling fan or air conditioner
to maintain the internal air temperature below 45°C.
