Tools Needed for Service

Remove power from the server before servicing any of the components that are inside the
chassis.
■
Ensure that the voltage and frequency of your power source match the voltage and
frequency inscribed on the equipment's electrical rating label.
■
Follow the ESD safety practices as described in “Prevent ESD Damage” on page 61.

Tools Needed for Service
You will need the following tools for most service operations:
■
Antistatic wrist strap
■
Grounded antistatic mat large enough for the component to be serviced
■
No. 2 Phillips and flathead screwdrivers
■
T8, T10, T20, and T25 Torx wrench key, wrench, or driver
■
Mechanical lift (for some service procedures if only one person is present)
