Install a CMIOU
Caution - If you remove this component while the server is powered on, wait 30 seconds before
installing the replacement component. Doing so ensures that Oracle ILOM has enough time to
detect the new component, which is required for the software to power it on.
Note - SPARC M7 CMIOUs are not supported in SPARC M8-8 servers. SPARC M8 CMIOUs
are not supported in SPARC M7-16 servers or SPARC M7-8 servers containing one static
PDomain (one to eight CMIOUs). SPARC M7-8 servers with two static PDomains are the only
SPARC M7 servers that support SPARC M8 CMIOUs (and only in PDomain_1). See “Mixed
CMIOU Configurations” on page 86 for more information.

If you removed the CMIOU cover, reinstall it and slide the cover forward until the
latch clicks into place.
