Fan Module LED (Switch Chassis)

No. LED Icon Description

1 Service Required LED

(amber)

Indicates that service is required.

The fmadm faulty command provides details about any faults that

cause this indicator to light.

2 OK LED (green) Indicates these conditions:

■ Off – Fan module is not running in its normal state.

■ Steady on – Fan module is powered on and is running normally.

Remove a Fan Module (Switch Chassis)

This procedure can be performed by a customer while the server is running if there are at least

five of the six fan modules operating for each switch unit.
