Restart the Server or Host (Oracle ILOM)
1.
Log in to Oracle ILOM.
See “Log In to Oracle ILOM (Service)” on page 67.

Connect to the host console.
Before starting the server or a specific host, connect to the host console in a separate terminal
session to ensure that you can view all messages reported by the system.
At the Oracle ILOM prompt, type:
-> start /Servers/PDomains/PDomain_x/HOST/console
Are you sure you want to start
/Servers/PDomains/PDomain_x/HOST/console (y/n) ? y
Starting /Servers/PDomains/PDomain_x/HOST/console

Power on the server or a specific domain.

To power on all domains, at the Oracle ILOM prompt, type:
-> start /System
Note - On multidomain servers, if one of the hosts is already running, you cannot use the
start /System command. The server will return a message that the target is already started.
■
To power on a specific domain, at the Oracle ILOM prompt, type:
-> start /Servers/PDomains/PDomain_x/HOST
4.
If you are restarting the host following the replacement of a faulty component,
verify that the fault has been resolved.
