Monitoring Problems
When troubleshooting EtCO
2
problems, it is recommended to replace the EtCO
2
sensor first. If the
problem still exists, try to replace internal tubing, and tubing of the EtCO
2
module.
If the EtCO
2
module does not start work when you connect a sampling line, try to repeat the standard
testing sequence, for example:
1 Return to the Main Menu
2 Reconnect the sampling line
3 Reenter the Service EtCO
2
screen
4 Reenter the Test screen

Processor PCA failure Replace Processor PCA
Therapy PCA failure Replace Therapy PCA
Reading inaccurate Sampling line is blocked or

Module does not start
when the sampling line is connected to
the DFM100. There is no EtCO

• Sampling line is damaged
•EtCO
2
module failure or
sensor failure
• Replace sampling line
• Run an OpCheck. If the EtCO
2
test fails,
replace the EtCO
2
Module. If the EtCO
2
test
passes, examine the sensor for dirt or foreign
objects and clean the sensor. If the problem still
exists, replace Processor PCA.
