In the Applications area, select an application such as Object detection/Object width
(NBB/NCBB).

Using the drop-down list from the Zone selection area, select the zone that the appli‐
cation will apply to – in this case Zone 1.
The configured basic function (beam function) and the related status are dis‐
played in the Basic functions area of the I/O tab in the left-hand window, e.g., NBB
Zone 1 = 0 (number of blocked beams in Zone 1).

Data output via the interfaces
The expandable Interfaces menu is only displayed if the device in use has a data inter‐
face (RS485 and/or IO-Link).
7.8.1 RS485 – Data transmission format
In the EASY user level, you can configure the data transmission rate of the RS485 interface
(the following data transmission rates are supported):
1200, 2400, 4800, 9600, 19200, 38400, 57600, 115200, 230400, 460800,
921600 bit/s
In the EXPERT user level, you can also compile the data transmission format individually.
