BRAKE / STEER PEDAL REPLACEMENT
TOOLS REQUIRED:
• 3/16 in. Punch
• Hammer
PROCEDURE:
Note
Refer to Figure 8, page 1-31, for this procedure.
1. Raise the litter and the rails to the highest position.
2. Position the Brake / Steer pedal (A) to the Neutral position.
3. Using a 3/16 in. punch and a hammer, remove the spring pin (G) holding the pedal to the pedal shaft.
4. Remove the pedal from the pedal shaft. If necessary, tap the pedal with a hammer to ease removal.
5. Align the holes of new Brake / Steer pedal to hole on the pedal shaft and fit the new pedal to the shaft.
6. Using a hammer, drive the spring pin in until it is flush to the top of the pedal.
7. Verify proper operation of the Brake / Steer pedal before returning the stretcher to service.
