In the history area, a number in an entry is displayed in SCIENTIFIC if its absolute
value is less than .001.

an expression, it’s often easier to correct the mistake than to retype the entire
expression.

number of digits specified by the
Display Digits mode, the

switches from NORMAL to
SCIENTIFIC for that result only.
