User Manual
Figure 3-82. Test view
The Tests view is divided into two areas:
On the left, a tree contains the defined groups of tests with their
associated tests.
On the right, the Parameters frame displays the parameters linked to
the selected item in the tree.
By default, there is only one group of tests
defined, called Tests group,
and it is applied to all inputs in the configuration. This tests group
contains the following tests:
1.1: TS sync loss
: this test is mandatory and cannot be removed from
the configuration.
You can choose to add tests to this g
roup, and/or to define other tests
groups to apply distinct tests to the inputs in the configuration.
Amethyst III can carry out various types of
tests:
DVB TR 101 290 tests
ATSC tests
Template checking tests
T2-MI specific tests
The level of tests is indicated in the i
con displayed in front of the test
name in the tree. This level can be 1, 2, 3 (referring to DVB or ATSC tests
levels), A (for
Advanced
) or T2 (for
T2-MI
). Parameters of all tests are
detailed in
Section ’Tests Parameters
on page 138.
Generic Test Configuration
Severity
Each test has an associated severity. The severity is used to set priorities
between alarms and to indicate the alarms that are likely to cause a
switch, and the ones that are only raised for monitoring purposes.
