Removing the Protective Film
Remove the protective film from both sides before installation.
Installing the Device (Steps)
The following steps are required for device installation and initial
configuration:
1.
Mounting the device in a rack, see page 42.

Powering on the device, see page 45.
3.
Installing Java Runtime Environment on the PC, see page 47.
4.
Setting the IP address of the equipment and other essential
parameters such as identity parameters, SNMP parameters, date &
time and access rights, either via the Equipment Setup application you
will find on the CD supplied with Amethyst
III or via the Amethyst III

5.
Turning off the device, see page 54.
