rack in such a way that the plug and power cord(s) are within easy reach
for switching off purposes.
For (each) mains inlet, the wiring sys
tem must feature overload and earth
fault protection and a bipolar cut-off device or a differential circuit
breaker. If in doubt, contact a qualified electrician.
Connecting AC Mains Power Supply Cords
1.
Plug the AC mains power supply cord to the power supply end and to
the Amethyst III end.
2.
Repeat step1 for Amethyst III’s second power supply unit.
It is important to plug both power supply units. Otherwise, an alarm
will be raised and a red LED will be displayed on the front panel.
3.
Wait a few seconds while the platform runs self-tests to check the
hardware.
After self-test completion, the front panel displays the equipment status.
The device is operational. The last stored confi
guration is active.
