1.0 Product Description
Overview
The TrangoLINK
®
GigaPlus is a high-performance split architecture point-to-point
wireless microwave system designed for Carrier, Enterprise, and Service Provider
networks using the 6-40 GHz licensed spectrum. The system provides a full duplex
wireless Layer 2 Ethernet connection with ultra low packet latency and jitter, and
supports up to four 10/100/1000BaseT, two Ethernet Fiber interfaces, and eight T1/E1
interfaces for timing or legacy TDM support.
GigaPlus was created to allow the highest performance possible across all standard
frequency bands and TR spacings. Each end of the link consists of one compact ½ rack
width, 1 RU high Indoor Unit (IDU) and one Outdoor RF unit (ODU), connected via a
single coaxial cable up to 1000 feet long. Figures 1 and 2 show the functional block
diagram of the system as they are divided between the IDU and ODU.
