Lower cup sensor
Sub menu Description
Nominal temp. Setting of maximum water temperature in the
boiler.
Default settings are:
For freshbrew machines: 95 °C.
For instant machines: 84°
Lock temperature Setting of low temperature limit, e.g. 85 °C.
If the water temperature reaches the low
temperature limit or falls below it, dispensing of
drinks is blocked until the water is sufficiently
heated again.
(The message “Temperature low” is shown in the
display for as long as the machine is not
operable.)

Cup sensor status
Sub menu Description
Lower cup sensor The sensitivity of the infra-redinfra-red lower cup
sensor can be adjusted to fit the transparency of
the cups used.
The sensitivity can be graded from 0 to 7. The
higher the value, the less likely the sensor is to
detect a transparent cup or a cup made of a thin
material.
Default setting is 3.
The lower cup sensor detects whether the
customer inserts own cup or jug or the machine
should dispense a cup.
