Acceleration/Deceleration Settings
There are two methods that you can use to set the acceleration and deceleration rate: One sets
the acceleration and deceleration directly, and the other sets the time required to reach the
rated speed from a speed of zero. The setting method depends on the settings of the related
parameters.
Related Parameters
The parameters that are related to acceleration and deceleration rate settings are listed in the
following table.

Number of Digits
Below Decimal
Point
This parameter sets the number of digits below the
decimal point in the reference unit. The minimum
reference unit is determined by this parameter and
fixed parameter No. 4 (Reference Unit Selection).
Example:
When the Reference Unit Selection parameter is set
to mm and the Number of Digits Below Decimal
Point parameter is set to 3, a reference unit of 1 will
be 0.001 mm.

No.34
Rated Motor
Speed
This parameter sets the number of rotations when
the motor is rotated at the rated speed (100%
speed). Set this parameter according to the specifi-
cations of the motor.

Number of Pulses
Per Motor Rota-
tion
This parameter sets the number of pulses per Ser-
vomotor rotation.
Example:
For a 16-bit encoder, set this parameter to 2
