Replacing the Printhead
1. Refer to Printhead Assembly on page 101 for replacement procedures.
• Return the printer darkness and the printhead pressure back to factory settings.
• Be sure that the replacement printhead resistance matches the printer’s printhead
resistance setting.
2. Only use a genuine Zebra printhead to ensure that your printer and part warranties remain
intact and that the product performs optimally.
3. Zebra recommends that Zebra’s Depot Centers or a Zebra Authorized Service Provider
(ZASP) to perform the installation.
4. All ESD precautions should be followed when installing or servicing a printhead.
5. Only use Zebra-approved Cleaning Supplies; see page 354 for Part Numbers and
Appendix K for Ordering Information.
