4 Integration
What Does Integration Do?
What Does Integration Do?
When a signal is integrated, the software:
• identifies a start and an end time for each peak and marks these points
with vertical tick marks,
• finds the apex of each peak; that is, the retention/migration time,
• constructs a baseline, and
• calculates the area, height and peak width for each peak.
This process is controlled by parameters called integration events.
