Starting Your UV-visible Software
This section describes how you start an Agilent ChemStation session on your
PC. If you want to perform measurements, you can start an online session, or
you can start an offline session for optimizing the analytical parameters of a
method, recalculating results or printing reports.
An online session can be started only as the first instance on your PC. In
addition an offline session can be started in parallel. This allows you to
optimize your method settings by direct comparison based on identical sets of
data.
1 Switch on your PC, monitor and printer.
2 Log on to your PC’s operating system
3 Start your Agilent ChemStation session by selecting Instrument 1 online,
for a measurement session, or Instrument 1 offline, for method
optimization and data evaluation.
4 Enter your name to log on to your Agilent ChemStation session. If you
protected your manager level by password, you must enter the correct
password. The system will then come up with the last-used mode and
method.
