THE PLAY KEY
Sometimes you may find that you are programming and setting up the S2000 away from a MIDI
controller and you need some way of triggering the S2000. This may seem unusual but it does
allow you to do some simple programming without having to set up an extensive MIDI rig. The
PLAY key allows you to audition sounds without the need for a MIDI controller to be
connected.
PLAY
In SINGLE or MULTI, the PLAY key will play the note C 3 (although you can set a different note
if you wish in the GLOBAL mode).
In EDIT SINGLE or EDIT MULTI, the PLAY key will play the currently selected keygroup (if ALL
keygroups are selected for editing, it will play either C 3 or the note set in the GLOBAL mode).
In SAMPLE or EDIT SAMPLE, the PLAY key will play the currently selected sample at the pitch
it was sampled at (for example, sample a bass sound on G 1 and the PLAY key will play that
sample at G 1).
