Cause
The “Loss of sync word” (LOSW) condition has been detected at the respective
customer-side SHDSL port of the LTU. This means that the SHDSL segment
between the respective customer-side SHDSL port of the LTU and the next
attached SHDSL device has failed.
Actions For the failed SHDSL segment:
• Verify the correct routing of interconnecting cables.
• Verify that the connectors are properly connected at the local and remote
end of the SHDSL segment.
• Verify that the receiver at the local end of the SHDSL segment (i.e. at the
LTU where the LOSW condition has been detected) functions properly.
• Verify that the transmitter at the remote end of the SHDSL segment (i.e. at
the next attached SHDSL device) functions properly.
