segd “segd” bit in the SHDSL overhead (segd means “segment defect”)
LOSW
Loss of sync word condition, reported to the LTU by using the EOC
message 141
The “segd” bit in the SHDSL overhead is set if a LOSW condition is detected at the
customer-side SHDSL port of an SRU. If there is a second SRU in the SHDSL span
(located in the upstream direction between the LTU and the SRU where the LOSW
condition is detected) then the “segd” bit is transparently passed through this SRU.
