6.1 Setting and Checking Instrument Data
6.1.1 Setting Interfaces and File Operating Environment
The following operations and information can be checked.

Remote control interfaces

Saving screen files
●
Operation sounds
To set or check these data, press
F8
to display Config to the horizontal
function key, and then press
F6
.
To set and confirm interface for remote control
1. Press
f1 Interface Settings
.
2. The dialog box shown in Figure 6.1.1-1 is displayed.
Move between setting items using the arrow keys and select the
setting.
GPIB Settings:
This is displayed when the GPIB option is added.
The MS9740B GPIB address can set in the range of 1 to 30 using a
rotary knob.
Ethernet Settings:
IP Address: Displays MS9740B IP address
Subnet Mask: Displays sub-net mask
Host Name: Displays computer name of MS9740B
The value displayed in Ethernet Settings cannot be changed at this
screen.
These values are changed from the Windows Control Panel.
Note:
If MS9740B is not linked up to the network (LAN), its IP address is
not displayed.
Terminator Settings:
This character string is handled as the terminator of the
communication data.
CR/LF: ASCII code carriage return and line feed
LF: ASCII code line feed
None (EOI Only): Does not use terminator. The data end is
detected using the GPIB signal line EOI (End Or
Identify).
