Before Use
2.10 Windows Security Measures
MS9740B uses Windows Embedded Standard 7 (WES7) 32 bit version or
Windows 10 IoT Enterprise (Win10) 64 bit version.
When connecting the MS9740B to a network, in addition to connecting to
secure and virus-protected networks, the following procedures are
recommended in order to add protection against malware (malicious
software) and viruses.
● Activating firewall
● Installing Windows important update programs
● Using antivirus software
The security measure settings condition of MS9740B can be confirmed
from the Control Panel of Windows.
When the OS is WES7
1. Click the “Minimize” button located in the upper right corner of the
application window to show the Windows desktop.
2. Click
Start → Control Panel from the Windows menu bar hidden in
the lower part of the screen.
3. Click
System and Security → Action Center.
4. Click
Security, and confirm security measures settings condition.
When the OS is Win10
1. Click the
Start ( ), and then click Windows System > Control
Panel.
2. With View by: Category, click
System and Security → Security and
Maintenance.
3. Click
Security, and confirm security measures settings condition.
Note:
Security warnings are not displayed by factory default.
