To enable Internet Group Management Protocol (IGMP) snooping immediate-leave processing on a
per-VLAN basis, use the ip igmp snooping vlan vlan-id immediate-leave command in global
configuration mode.To return to the default setting, use the no form of this command.
ip igmp snooping vlan vlan-id immediate-leave
no ip igmp snooping vlan vlan-id immediate-leave
Syntax Description
Defaults IGMP immediate-leave processing is disabled.

Usage Guidelines VLAN IDs 1002 to 1005 are reserved for Token Ring and FDDI VLANs and cannot be used in IGMP
snooping.
You should only configure the Immediate Leave feature when there is a maximum of one receiver on
every port in the VLAN. The configuration is saved in NVRAM.
The Immediate Leave feature is supported only with IGMP Version 2 hosts.
You can verify your settings by entering the show ip igmp snooping privileged EXEC command.
Examples This example shows how to enable IGMP immediate-leave processing on VLAN 1:
Switch(config)# ip igmp snooping vlan 1 immediate-leave
Related Commands
vlan-id Enable IGMP snooping and the Immediate-Leave feature on the specified
VLAN. The range is 1 to 1001 and 1006 to 4094.
