length, Byte orderandWord orderaresetandadjustedinrelationtothe
adoptedsetting.Start position in payload data,ScalingandUsechannelas
outputarealsosetaccordingtothedatatype.
l Signed
Setswhethertheintegerdatatypeistobeinterpretedassignedor
unsigned.An8-bitvaluewouldthenbeintherange-128to127(twoscom-
plement)or0to255.Floatingvaluesarealwaysinterpretedassigned.Bit-
valuesmakenodistinctionbetweensignedandunsigned.
l Bit length
Setsthebitlengthsforintegerandfloatingdatatypes.Byte sequence and
Word sequence areadjustedaccordingtolengthvalue.Thisalsoappliesto
thenumericfieldsintheStart position in data.
l Encoding type
Displaystheencodingtypeusedforinterpretingthetransmittedpayload
data.
l Byte sequence
Thebyteorder(bytesequence)isanumber,madeupofseveralbytes,that
setshowbytesareorderedfortheaddress.BigEndian,alsoknownas
Motorolaformat,ordersthemostsignificantbytetothelowestaddress.
LittleEndian,alsoknownasIntelformat,orderstheleastsignificantbyteto
