Registering an Adjustment Type
The following describes how to register the result of the paper curl adjustment as a custom
adjustment type.
1 Load paper you want to make curl adjustment in a tray.
2 Press the <Log In/Out> button, and enter the System Administration mode.
For how to enter the System Administration mode, refer to "System Settings Procedure" (P.404).
3 Select [Tools] on the Services Home screen.
Note • When the Services Home screen is not displayed on the touch screen, press the <Services Home>
button.
4 Select [System Settings] > [Common Service Settings] > [Maintenance].
5 Select [Adjust Paper Curl].
6 Select a type you want to change the paper
curl adjustment setting, and select [Change
Settings].
7 Select [Name], enter a name for the
adjustment type, and select [Save].
Note • We recommend that you use a name such as
"Uncoated 209 gsm" with which you can
recognize the content.
Scale of adjustment
values
Select an adjustment value depending on the degree of curl on the
output paper. Uncheck the [Auto] check box to enable the scale.

To correct upward curl, select a value between [1] and [4] on the
right.
z
To correct downward curl, select a value between [1] and [4] on the
left.
z
Select [0] not to apply curl adjustment.
The maximum available adjustment value is [4] for both upward curl
and downward curl. The larger the value, the larger the amount of
adjustment.
