4 Pull out the cartridge.
5 With holding the tabs, return the new cartridge
to the original position. Then, with pushing the
depressed area of the new cartridge strongly,
push the new cartridge in until it clicks into
place.
6 Push the unit into its original position.
7 Close the finisher right door.
Note • A message will be displayed and the machine will not operate if the door of the finisher is even
slightly open.
Replacing the Staple Waste Container
When the Finisher D4 (optional), the Finisher D4 with Booklet (optional), or the Finisher D5
(optional) is installed and the staple waste container becomes full, a message appears on
the touch screen. Replace the staple waste container according to the message.
The following describes how to replace a staple waste container for the Finisher D4 with
Booklet as an example. The procedure is the same as for the Finisher D4 and the Finisher D5.
Important • Replace the staple waste container while the power is on.
Note • A staple waste container is included in a staple cartridge.

Be careful not to get injured by waste staples when detaching a staple waste container.
