3 Remove the jammed paper.
Note • If paper is torn, check for any torn pieces of
paper inside the machine.
4 Close the bottom right door.
Note • A message will be displayed and the machine will not operate if the bottom right cover is even
slightly open.
5 When the following option is installed, perform the following procedure.
îš„ When the C3 Finisher or the C3 Finisher with Booklet Maker is installed
1) Return the handle [1a] to its original position, and close the front door of the Transport
Unit V1.
îš„ When the Interface Module is installed
1) Close the front door of the Interface Module.
Note • A message will be displayed and the machine will not operate if the door is even slightly open.
Paper Jams (long length paper)
If you open a cover of the machine while printing with a long length paper, the paper may
be jammed inside the machine.
Remove the jammed paper with the following procedure.
1 Close the machine cover.
2 Wait until the paper is moved to the transfer unit automatically.
Note • After the paper is moved to the transfer unit, a new message appears on the screen.
3 Pull the transfer unit, and remove the paper.
Note • To prevent the paper from tearing, when you find the paper jammed inside the transfer unit, stop
pulling the unit and then gently pull the unit while holding down the paper on the unit.
