8.) After terminating all processes mentioned above, press CTRL
+ ESC to open windows start menu.
9.) Using the [Arrow] keys on the keyboard, select “Programs” -> “GE FIELD ENGINEER” and then
double-click the “Compact and Repair Database” application.
It reports on the actions it performs. This can be valuable information for the technicians. Check that all
databases (.mdb) are repaired (see:Figure 7-37).
10.)In case of any failures, please make a screen shot (press ALT
+ P key, to save it to D:\export), print
out or write down the error message and then close the program by pressing ENTER
.
11.)Close all open windows (e.g., Windows Explorer).
12.)Restart the system (turn off and on the system).
