2. Press the DISK button once (or twice if a disk is inserted in the drive) to
enter the HARD DISK.
3. Use the Octave +/– buttons to select the partition containing the file you
want to copy and press ENTER to gain access to the partition.
4. Move the right display arrowhead next to the UTILITY menu function
with the CURSOR
button and press the PAGE button to select the
CopyFile option.
5. Press ENTER.
6. Use the TEMPO/DATA / to select the file you wish to copy.
7. Once you have selected the single file, press ENTER again.
8. Use the OCTAVE +/– buttons (or TEMPO/DATA
/ buttons) to choose
one of the two possible destinations:
Floppy :
An existing partition :
If you are copying to a floppy, be sure that a disk is inserted in the disk drive.
Important: If you select NewPart? as the destination and try to proceed
with the copy, you will discover that it will not be possible to copy a file to a
non-formatted new partition:
In this case, press ESCAPE to exit the Hard Disk then press DISK to enter
the Hard disk again. Create a new partition using the procedure described
on page 2.69, then repeat the copy procedure and select the new partition.
9. Press ENTER to confirm and start the copy procedure.
Copying single files from a floppy to a partition
1. Insert the floppy disk containing the file to copy into the disk drive and
press the DISK button ONCE to enter the DISK functions.
The display will show the name of the first file present on disk.
2. Move the right display arrowhead to the UTILITY menu function with the
CURSOR button and press the PAGE button to select the CopyFile
option.
3. Press ENTER to gain access to the file selection.
4. Now use the TEMPO/DATA
/ buttons to select the file you wish to
copy.
