2.4.3 Protection
ELECTRICAL SHOCK HAZARD!
Any interruption of the protective conductor inside or outside the apparatus is likely to
make the apparatus dangerous. Intentional interruption is prohibited.
When the apparatus is connected to its supply, terminals may be live, and the opening of
covers for removal of parts is likely to expose live parts.
Whenever it is likely that the protection has been impaired, the apparatus must be
made inoperative and be secured against any unintended operation.
The protection is likely to be impaired if, for example, the apparatus shows visible dam-
age or has been subjected to severe transport stresses.
It is the responsibility of the user to ensure the safety of any accessories used with the
equipment, such as probes.
Proper use of this device depends on careful reading of all instructions and labels.
IftheinstrumentisusedinamannernotspeciedbyHBM,theprotectionprovidedby
the instrument can be impaired.
This instrument must not be operated in explosive atmospheres.
This instrument and related accessories are not designed for biomedical experimentation
on humans or animals and should not be directly connected to human or animal subjects
or used for patient monitoring.
