FRONT SUSPENSION
Fully extend the piston rod.
Make sure the oil level is about 145mm (5.7in.).
Fully compress the piston rod and install the bottom valve unit.
Once the bottom valve unit has been assembled, check that the piston rod is
fully extended.
Block the outside octagonal area of the cartridge unit.
Use a similar tool in the internal octagonal part of the bottom valve unit.
With a screwdriver, tighten the bottom valve unit to 29 Nm (21.4 ft/lb).
Hold the cartridge unit with the end of the piston rod pointing downwards, as
illustrated.
Pump the piston rod up and down about 10 times to distribute the oil evenly
through the entire unit.
