Replacing the mufer deadening material (SMR)
Remove the saddle after turning the locking back pin (1) anticlockwise, loosen
the screws (2) with an 8-mm T-shaped spanner and remove the side panel (3)
(do the same on the right side). Using an 8 mm T-shaped spanner on the outside
and a 10 mm T-shaped spanner on the inside, remove the locking screw (4) of
the mufer. Remove the spring (5) and pull out the mufer (A) o (B). Remove
the four rear rivets (6), clamp and the exhaust terminal (7).
Remove innner pipe and replace the deadening material.
Reassemble L.H. side panel and saddle.
When diffuculties are found in removing the mufer, lightly beat with
a rubber or plastic hammer.
