8.3 About Alarms
8-23 ME0342-4B
Cause : Excitation detection process does not complete in a certain
period of time (set in Parameter No. 29) at the first servo-on
after the power supply is turned on.
1) Connection error or wire breakage of motor/encoder
cables.
2) Brake is not released (when equipped with a brake).
3) Load to the motor is high due to external force.
4) Power was turned on while touching to the mechanical
end.
5) The resistance in the actuator sliding operation is large.
6) Parameter No.22 Home Return Offset was set smaller than
the initial value.
Countermeasure : 1) Check for the motor encoder cable wiring
condition.
2) Supply 24V DC 150mA to the BKRLS terminal
on the power supply connector and if you can
see an improvement, it is considered the
controller failure. Replace the controller.
3) Confirm that there is no error in the mechanical
part assembly condition.
4) Move the slider or the rod to a point where it
would not hit the mechanical end and reboot the
system.
5) If the loaded weight is within the allowable
range, turn the power OFF and check the
resistance in sliding operation by moving the
slider with hand.
6) For Simple Absolute Type, the excitation
detection is performed at the end of home return
operation. If the Parameter No.22 Home Return
Offset is set smaller than the initial setting, the
actuator interferes with the mechanical end and
excitation detection cannot be performed

Unmatched
Cause : The condition that the feedback value from the loadcell is
larger than the motor rated output has lasted continuously for
256ms or more.
Countermeasure : 1)
Check if there is a large external force applied in
the direction to push back from the load side.
2) Revise the wiring layout of the actuator cables
and loadcell cables.
3) There is a concern of a malfunction of either the
actuator, controller or loadcell.
Cause : The output current in the power circuit section is increased
abnormally.
Countermeasure : This alarm will not be generated in normal
operation. It can be considered as the insulation
degradation of the motor winding or malfunction of
the controller.
Caution
Before resuming operation, make sure to remove the cause of the
error. Turning the power on and off repeatedly without removing the
cause could burnout of the motor coil.

Alarm Name Alarm Name
Cause : The power regenerative circuit voltage reached the judgment
value or higher.
Countermeasure : There is a concern of a malfunction of the
0CA Overheating
Cause : The temperature of the controller internal parts has exceeded
the temperature defined for each actuator.
1) Operating with load conditions exceeding the specified
range.
2) The ambient temperature is high.
3) The load on the motor is large due to external force.
4) Defective parts inside the controller.
Countermeasure : 1) Revise the operation conditions, such as
decreasing the acceleration/deceleration speed.
2) Lower the ambient temperature of the controller.
3) Confirm that there are no assembly errors in
machine components.
Note: This error does not normally occur. If it occurs, confirm
that it is not 1) to 3) above. If the phenomenon occurs
even after confirmation, it can be concerned about
malfunction of controller. Replace or repair the controller.
Caution
Before resuming operation, make sure to remove the cause of the
error. Turning the power on and off repeatedly without removing the
cause could burnout of the motor coil.
adjustment error
Cause : During the current detection sensor status check conducted
in the startup initialization process, a sensor error was found.
1) Failure of the current detection sensor and peripheral
components.
Countermeasure : In case this occurs again even after the power
supply is rebooted, it is necessary to replace and
adjust the PC board. Have the controller replaced
