WARNING: You may damage the processor heat sink when grasping the heat sink by the longer sides and
squeezing the fins together. Grasp processor heat sinks only on the the shorter edges as shown in the
following illustration.
1. Remove the heat sink from its packaging if present. With the TIM facing up, place the heat sink on
to a flat surface, as shown in the following illustration.
