4. Click-and-drag to draw up to 4 privacy zones on the camera image, which appear as
red boxes.
• To move an existing privacy zone, click-and-drag the center of the red box.
• To resize an existing privacy zone, click-and-drag the edge of the red box.
• To delete privacy zones, click the red box to select it, then click Delete.
5. Click the switch next to Mask Area to enable (
) or disable ( ) the privacy
zone.
6. Click Save.
7. (OPTIONAL) Use the Copy function to copy your settings to another or all connected
cameras. See 13.6.1 Copying Channel Settings to Another Channel, page 98 for de-
tails on using the copy function.
13.6.5 Configuring Recording Parameters
Configure basic video recording options.
To configure recording parameters:
1. Click Remote Setting in the top-right corner of the window.
2. Under Settings, click REC Para to open the REC Para tab.
3. Use the dropdown next to Channel to select a channel to set recording parameters for.
4. Use the dropdown next to Stream Mode to configure the recording mode. Select Du-
alStream to record using mainstream recording settings while using the substream for
remote viewing, or select MainStream to use mainstream recording only. To configure
mainstream and substream settings, see 12.2.11 Configuring System Recording Qual-
ity (Mainstream and Substream), page 60.
CAUTION
You must set the Stream Mode to DualStream in order to play back recordings using the FLIR Se-
cure mobile app. Live viewing will not be affected.
5. Click the switch next to Record to enable ( ) or disable ( ) recording.
6. Click the switch next to Pre Record to enable (
) or disable ( ) pre-recording
of motion events.
7. Click Save.
