Special Imaging Modes
11-17
Parameter Description
Disp Format Function: to set the image display format in 3D image viewing mode.
Cut Function: to enter cut function.
Render/ Gray
Inversion
Surface
Function: to set Surface as 3D image rendering mode.
This is helpful for surface imaging, such as fetus face/hand
or foot.
Tip: you may have to adjust the threshold to obtain a clear
body boundary.
Max
Function: to set Max as 3D image rendering mode,
displays the maximum intensity of gray values in the ROI.
This is helpful for viewing bony structures.
Min
Function: set Min as 3D image rendering mode, displays
the minimum number of gray values in the ROI.
This is helpful for viewing vessels and hollow structures.
X Ray
Function: set X-ray as 3D image rendering mode.
Displays the average value of all gray values in the ROI.
X Ray: used for imaging tissues with different structure
inside or tissues with tumor.
The above four rendering manners can be applied to both gray and
inversion modes.
Where, inversion is to inverse the grayscale of the image, so as to
enhance observation for low-echo region, applicable for vessel, cyst
and etc.
When the function is turned on, the rendering mode parameters
change into the corresponding inverse parameters.
Threshold
Function: to set the threshold for 3D image rendering. Ultrasonic
echo signals of higher intensity will be filtered. 3D image is rendered
using the signal above thresholds.
Only used in surface imaging.
Transparency
Function: to set the transparency value for 3D image rendering.
The higher the number, the more transparent the gray scale
information.
Only used in surface imaging.
MPR Line
Function: using the lines to show the position information of the
other sections on a sectional image.
Selection: All, Partial, Off. All means to display the whole line
crossing the sectional image. Partial means to display part of the line
at both ends of the MPR line.
Smoothness
Function: to set the smoothness of 3D image.
Selection: 0-20.0 refers to no smooth effect, 1-20 present five effects
in incremental order.
Tip: insufficient smoothness can result in a fuzzy image; however,
over smoothness will lead to image distortion.
