8. The buttons at the bottom of the page provide the following functions:
• Click Reset to clear selected check boxes.
• Click Update to retrieve the current packages information from the TFTP server
and update what needs to be upgraded and what can be installed.
• Click Install to upgrade only the packages selected.
• Click Upgrade All to upgrade all packages newer than any existing packages. It is
not necessary to select any check boxes. The system will reset using this option, if
needed.
9. After the upgrade process is complete, reboot the system if prompted. If using the
Upgrade All option the system will reset if necessary. Diagnostics or log files are also
updated for the application, system file, or utility upgraded. For specific information or
messages that appear about the files and applications upgraded or installed, see the
Diagnostics and Troubleshooting chapter in the Inter-Tel 5000 Features and
Programming Guide (part no: 580.8006).
IMPORTANT
Space Limitations:
• If installing voice prompts, keep in mind space limitations on the
compact flash-type Inter-Tel memory card. If you no longer want
a particular language prompt set, remove it and install the
desired language prompt package.
• When downloading the files, the system checks to make sure
there is enough available space on the compact flash to upgrade
all components. If there is not enough space to complete the
upgrade for all packages, a dialog box appears warning you
there is not enough space and the upgrade process will be
aborted. Delete unused voice mail messages to free up space,
and then restart the system upgrade.
