8- Preventative Maintenance
Cleanliness of your equipment and its operating environment will keep maintenance problems and service
calls to a minimum. Precor recommends that you perform the following preventative maintenance schedule.
IMPORTANT!
Turn off and unplug equipment (if applicable) before performing preventative
maintenance procedures.
USE EXTREME CAUTION when the rear cover is removed. Serious injury could
result if fingers are pinched between the flywheel spokes, crank arms, stair arms,
and drive weldment.
Regular Preventative Maintenance - performed by owner
Daily:
1. Wipe down unit Frame, covers, handle bars, stairarms, Foot Pedals
using a 30:1 diluted solution of Simple Green® and water. (Do not use
acidic cleaners).
Weekly: All of the above plus
1 Clean the Frame, covers, handle bars, stairarms, Foot Pedals with
water or 30:1 diluted solution of Simple Green® and water. (Do not use
acidic cleaners)
2 Vacuum carpet or “damp mop” the floor underneath the AMT
3 Check unit leveling and re-adjust if necessary.
Monthly: All of the above plus
1 Clean the AMT’s Frame, covers, handle bars, stairarms, Foot Pedals
with water or 30:1 diluted solution of Simple Green® and water. Wipe
the front console with a slightly dampened cloth and a dry towel.
2 Remove rear cover. Carefully vacuum interior.
3 Check the belt tension of the step-up and drive belts, and adjust if
necessary.
4 Lubricate lift motor screw (if necessary) with a synthetic grease (such as
SuperLube® with Teflon.
5 Check unit leveling and re-adjust if necessary.
