Replacing the Generator Belt
Procedure
1 Remove the covers as per procedure, Cover Replacement (on page 53).
2 Remove the tension from the inner flat belt pulleys by lifting up on the stairarms, pulling the flat belts off
the flat belt pulleys, and then gently setting the stairarm down.
3 Loosen the generator mounting bolts.
4 Loosen the generator adjustment bolt until the top of the bracket slots are resting on the generator
mounting bolts.
5 Loosen the step up pulley mounting bolts.
6 Loosen the step up pulley adjustment bolt until tension has been removed from the input pulley belt and
has sufficient slack so that the belt may be removed from the step up pulley.
