2.5 CONDENSER COMPARTMENT
The batteries are located inside the condenser
compartment on the X3-45 coach.

2.5.1 Battery equalizer
On X3-45 coaches the battery equalizer is
located on the L.H. side of the condenser
compartment (Fig. 9).

PANEL
To access the entrance door & wiper control
panel of the right console, remove the panel
under the larger utility compartment at the base
of the windshield.

3. BATTERIES
The vehicle is provided with four (4)
maintenance-free 12 volt heavy-duty batteries
connected in series-parallel (Fig. 8 & 11). The
top-mounted negative and positive terminals are
tightly sealed to prevent leaks. Water never
needs to be added to this type of battery. There
are no filler caps in the cover. The battery is
sealed, except for small vent holes in the cover.
The vents must not be restricted as they allow
small amounts of gases produced in the battery
to escape. The special chemical composition
inside the battery reduces gassing to a very
small amount at normal charging voltages.
