NOTE
To ensure the password is as strong as possible, it should contain the following charac‐
ters:

Figures
•
Special characters
The strength of the password is displayed in SOPAS ET using traffic light colors.
Resetting the password for service user level
If you have forgotten the password for the service user level, you can use the following
steps to restore the default password (see table 113):

Open the SOPAS ET menu with
2. Under Devices , select the Password recovery menu item ...

The Password recovery window opens.
3. Click on Password recovery through physical access.
4. Start the process with the Start password recovery by physical accessbutton...
5. Press the Teach-in pushbutton on your device for 2 seconds within the next 30
seconds
6. You will receive a message that the service password has been successfully reset
to the default password.
NOTE
This function is only available in conjunction with SOPAS ET version 2024.1 or higher.
NOTE
Alternatively, the device can also be reset to the factory settings. However, all settings
are lost and all passwords are reset to the default passwords.
Managing user levels
The user levels can be activated and deactivated via the SOPAS ET menu.
Activate user level:

Open the SOPAS ET menu with

3. Select the user level you want to add and confirm with the Activatebutton.

The Password confirmation window opens.
4. You will be asked to enter the password for the service user level (administrator)
and confirm with OK .

5. Now enter the password for the selected user level. Confirm the password with OK
