Installation 0
NOTE
When installing the Compact optics, make sure that no dust
or dirt particles contaminate the I.I. output or the Compact
optics.
Optics
x Reinsert the rubber gasket between the Compact optics and the I.I. housing.
x Install the new Compact optics. Reattach the retainer clip for the plug / cable routing.
x Route the anode cable through the recess in the Compact optics.
x The Compact optics must lie against the eccentric screws.
High voltage section
x Reinstall the O-ring and the cap nut on the anode cable. The cable length from the
beginning of the white wire to the cap nut should be 70 mm.
x Reconnect the high voltage cable.
x Reinstall the high voltage section.
x Reattach the cables for the high voltage section with cable ties.
Camera rotation 0° position
x Rotate the Compact optics into the 0° position.
x Connect an ohmmeter to the potentiometer for camera rotation, points 2 and 3.
x In the 0° position, the resistance must be 5000 ohms ±40 ohms.
x If necessary, grasp the Compact optics by the clamping ring for the VIDEOMED DC
and slowly rotate them.
VIDEOMED DC
x Place the VIDEOMED DC in the 0° position on the Compact optics and tighten the
clamp. See also (Fig. 32 / p. 99).
x Reinstall the connection cable (see arrow, (Fig. 32 / p. 99)) and reattach the cable with
a cable tie in the recess of the VIDEOMED DC board. When doing this, make sure that
the cable tie and the cable do not extend beyond the edge of the board.
x Reconnect plug X1 of the VIDEOMED DC cable spool.
Miscellaneous cables
x Reconnect all cables and plugs (protective conductor, cassette contact, etc....) and
secure them with cable ties.
