TRIGGER DELAY
This function allows the exact positioning of a label without moving the product sensor. It delays
from trigger activation to the start of motor movement. The time delay is a dynamic parameter
and depends on the LINE SPEED (refer page 66). For speeds up to 20.99 m/min its parameter
is 10 ms per unit, while for 10.0 m/min and above it changes to 1 ms per unit, thus improving
label placement resolution.
This parameter can also be adjusted in real-time, during normal operation, through the [] and
[] keys, (depending on the parameter setting of Address 07, see Page 81 ).But the changed
value is temporary and is not stored in memory until PROGRAMMING mode is entered and the
STORE PARAMETERS function is executed.
Please note that any delay time increases the cycle time, thus potentially reducing the
maximum application rate.
Press either [] or [] key to move to the next setting.
Use the [Enter]-key to edit the parameter. The [] and []-keys increase or decrease the
value. Press the [Enter]-key again to confirm your settings.
SYNCHRONIZATION PULSE
This is the duration of the SYNC relay activation pulse at the end of the dispensing phase (relay
outputs are on the back side of the controller, see page 37). The setting ranges from 0 to 255
tenth of a second (max. 2.55 s). If the value is set to zero, the SYNC relay is activated at the
beginning of paper motion and deactivated at its end, so the pulse has the same duration of the
dispensing phase.
As above, any value greater than zero increases cycle time, thus potentially reducing the
maximum application rate. If the machine includes a pneumatic applicator, setting the value to
“00” and SYNC is activated at the beginning of paper motion and is deactivated at the end of
the application. If setting is “255”, SYNC is activated at the beginning of tamp movement and is
deactivated at the end of the cycle, while in all other cases the SYNC is activated at the end of
the cycle for the specified duration.
Press either [] or [] key to move to the next setting.
Use the [Enter]-key to edit the parameter. The [] and []-keys increase or decrease the
value. Press the [Enter]-key again to confirm your settings.
