Unwind Brake Adjustment
NOTE: The unwind brake adjustment should only be performed by a qualified service
technician!
This procedure sets the tension on the dancer arm brake. Use the following instructions to
adjust the tension of the unwind dancer arm brake:

1. Remove outer unwind disk and the label supply roll from the unwind mandrel.
2. Remove the label roll support hub and the inner unwind disk assembly.
3. Loosen the threaded handle from the tensioning element. Caution! Its spring may be
under tension!
4. Turn the tensioning element against the tension and tighten the threaded handle.
5. If the tension is not enough or to high, loosen the screws of the brake strap assembly
and tighten it in the respective direction.
