[3] GLOW PLUG
Glow Plug Continuity
1. Check the glow plug (2).
2. Measure the resistance with a circuit tester between the glow
plug terminal and the glow plug housing.
3. If the measurement does not show the factory specification, the
glow plug (2) is damaged.
• Adjust the direction of the ditch to the terminal side when
the seal (1) is installed in the glow plug (2).

Starter Motor Terminal B Voltage
1. Measure the voltage with a voltmeter across the terminal B (1)
and chassis.
2. If the voltage differs from the battery voltage, the battery's
positive cable or the battery negative cable is faulty.

Starter Motor Test
• Secure the starter to prevent it from jumping up and down
while testing the motor.
1. Disconnect the battery negative cable from the battery.
2. Disconnect the battery positive cable and the leads from the
starter terminal C (1).
3. Remove the starter from the engine.
4. Disconnect the connecting lead (2) from the starter terminal C
(1).
5. Connect a jumper lead from the connecting lead (2) to the
battery positive terminal post.
6. Connect a jumper lead momentarily between the starter motor
housing and the battery negative terminal post.
7. If the motor does not run, check the motor.
