1.3 Differential Assembly Overview
Note
♦ Attach transmission to assembly stand. Refer to
⇒ “4.6 Transmission, Securing to Assembly Stand”, page 107 .
♦ Heat inner race of tapered roller bearing to 100 °C (212 °F) before installing.
♦ Always replace both tapered roller bearings together as a set.
♦ Adjust differential, refer to ⇒ “1.5 Differential, Adjusting”, page 224 when replacing tapered roller bearing,
differential housing, transmission housing or clutch housing.
