Adjust Opener Spring Position

To change the opener down pressure:
1. Insert the spring assembly pin so the hairpin is on the
disk side of the opener.
2. Fully insert the hairpin onto the spring assembly pin.
This will reduce the chance of residue (e.g. corn and
sunflower stalks) from accidentally removing the hair
pin.
IMPORTANT: Do not use more spring down
pressure force than necessary for
opener penetration. Using
excessive spring down pressure
forces will reduce the life of the
opener components.
