GAUGE WHEEL
The gauge wheel controls the depth at which seed is placed relative to the disk. Seed can be placed from 0.0-89 mm (0.0
to 3 1/2") in increments of 6 mm (1/4") by adjusting the handle to move the gauge wheel up or down to the appropriate
position. Each handle position will move seed placement by 6 mm (1/4").

Old Style Depth Handle
(Up to PIN CKB0028188, and
Between PIN CBJ0007001 and CBJ0017459)
Gauge wheel position is adjusted by pressing the top and
bottom of the spring loaded handle (1) together and
moving the handle forward or back.
- Moving the handle forward will cause the gauge
wheel to raise. Raising the gauge wheel lowers
seeding depth for deep planting.
- Lowering the gauge wheel will raise the seed depth
for shallow planting of crops.
New Style Depth Handle
(After PIN CBJ0017520 (SDX30) and
After PIN CBJ0017459 (SDX40))
The gauge wheel position is adjusted by unlocking the
handle (1). To unlock the handle (1), push down on it and
then press down on the locking spring (2) to release it.
Once the handle (1) is released, move it upward to unlock
it. Then the handle (1) can be moved forward or back to
change the gauge wheel position. Push down to lock the
handle (1) after the desired gauge wheel position is
obtained.
- Moving the handle forward will cause the gauge
wheel to raise. Raising the gauge wheel lowers
seeding depth for deep planting.
- Lowering the gauge wheel will raise the seed depth
for shallow planting of crops.
